Book Club #1 : Quatre-Vingt Treize, Victor Hugo

"Quatre-Vingt Treize" is a novel written by Victor Hugo and published in 1874 by Michel Lévy.

This book, Victor Hugo’s last novel, relates the times marked by the period of "Terreur" following the French Revolution. You will follow the path of three main characters: Lantenac, Gauvain and Cimourdain who disagree about politics but are all guided by a special sense of honour and duty - everyone of them will be driven by a form of heroism which, nevertheless, does not prevent them from death...

On Monday 20 February, join us at 6.15pm to discuss this book.
