Meet Eric Hazan

On the occasion of the Festival "Beyond Words, French literature" organized by the Institut français du Royaume Uni, we are pleased to welcome Eric Hazan , famous French author who wrote on the history of Paris. "The invention of Paris, there is no lost step" (2002) and "A history of the French Revolution" (2012) are among his successes.

The discussion will focus on his novel "A walk through Paris" (2016). Writer, historian and publisher Eric Hazan takes us through the radical history of Paris, city of the May 1968 uprising, but also Robespierre, the Commune and Jean-Paul Sartre. Drawing on his own life story and experiences during the Sixties, as surgeon, publisher and social critic, Eric Hazan will talk about his new book.
