The French Film festival presents an ’At Home Edition’, with short films from past editions available for free on their website. For the whole family, these films in French will entertain you until 27 April!

Short films streaming live!
The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival team is offering you some virtual live screenings, accessible from home! Four thematic programmes have been created so you can enjoy the cinema experience despite the current quarantine. With a live-stream via the Festival page on Twitch (for the very first time!), you will be able to watch these programmes and films through virtual screenings. You will also be able to share comments about the films via the chat.
Twice a week, a new programme will be live-screened: on Thursdays and Sundays at 6PM.

MUBI UK

The website MUBI UK, offering a large number of films d’auteur and classics, has just partnered with Ciné Lumière at the Institut Français du Royaume-Uni. You can now access their collection for free for three months! Enjoy French language masterpieces from directors such as Jean-Luc Godard, Jean-Pierre Melville or Jean Cocteau.

Zéro de conduite (Jean Vigo, 1933, 47 min)

Available online for free, this vintage masterpiece tells the touching story of two kids, their tough life full of mischief at their boarding school in the 1930s, and the adventures they go through while escaping. The movie was censored until 1946, considered too libertarian, but quickly became an important reference, notably for François Truffaut and his groundbreaking New Wave movie “400 blows (Les 400 coups)”.

Dans la peau de Thomas Pesquet (P-E. Le Goff et J. Hansen, 2018, 15/17 min)

At the age of 38, Thomas Pesquet is the 10th and youngest French astronaut to be selected for a mission in the ISS. In those two 15 and 17-minute movies, follow the astronaut on his 7-year preparation for his 6-month space mission.
