The Alliance Française de Manchester acknowledges its duty of care to children. We take steps to ensure the welfare of children through a
safeguarding policy and procedures which are mandatory for everyone in the Alliance Française de Manchester, both staff and volunteers.
The form below, acknowledging and agreeing to the procedures, must be signed by a parent/guardian of a child over 16 if they
wish for their child to arrive/leave unaccompanied for an exam.
A paper copy of the form is available for collection at reception.
All students under 16 must be accompanied by an adult on arrival and departure. The adult should remain in the test centre
for the duration of the exam.
Candidates 16 and over
Parents may provide consent for candidates aged 16 and over to arrive and leave by themselves by completing the form below.
We will ask candidates under 18 who are authorised to arrive and leave by themselves to sign in and out at reception.
If a candidate who is authorised to arrive and leave by themselves does not come to the exam, we will notify the
parent/guardian
that they have not arrived.
Please let us know in advance about any illness or on-the-day cancellation. Please let us know if you wish to authorise
your child to leave with another adult who is not their parent/guardian.
All children, general information about our premises:
Where there is a break in the middle of an exam session, we advise that students under the age of 18 remain on the premises and cannot
accept any responsibility for any incident which occurs if the student exits the AF de Manchester premises.
There are separate male and female toilets. Please note that children may go to the toilets unaccompanied whilst on the premises and staff
are not able to supervise them during this time. As we offer adult courses, adults may be present in the bathroom at the same time as
children.
Please use the form below to let us know about any allergies, medical information, or additional information we should know about your
child. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, although we will do our best to take any allergies into consideration.
