French For schools


To support the great work MFL teachers do in their classrooms every day and to give young French learners the opportunity to experience French in an immersive environment, we offer French workshops for schools, for all levels, in our premises or at your school. Our French activities for schools are designed to boost students' confidence, enthusiasm and exam grades. All our teachers are qualifiedexperiencedDBS-checked native speakers

We also offer teen classes throughout the year and exam preparation workshops for GCSE and AS/A-Levels in the spring-time - please send us an email if you would like to be kept updated about these.

Interactive workshop to discover the Alliance Française de Manchester, the international network of Alliances Françaises, and French as an international language with a native French speaking team member.

French workshop

Following an interactive visit of the Alliance Française, your students will take part in a thematic workshop created and led by an AF teacher. A fun and immersive way for your students to improve their knowledge of language and culture! 

Topics available:
"J'aime/J'aime pas" (Year 7)
"Quelle journée !" (Year 8-9)
"L'environnement" (Year 10-11)
"Partons en vacances !" (Year 10-11)
"Le bénévolat" (Year 12-13)
"La cyber-société" (Year 12-13)

French FILM

Following an interactive visit of the Alliance Française, your students will watch a film in French (with English subtitles) that you can choose from a list of options suited to their age and level.

Films available: a selection of recent films suited to the age and level of your students will be provided on demand. Please mention students' age and topic of interest in your request.

French FILM & Workshop

Following an interactive visit of the Alliance Française, your students will watch a film on a theme linked to the A-Levels. After the film, they will attend a workshop led by an Alliance Française teacher where they will discuss the theme and the film and work on related vocabulary and expressions.

Second World War  -  De Gaulle (2020, 108 min.)
Les banlieues  -  La Vie Scolaire/School Life (2019, 111 min.)
