About the movie 🎬
Marieme (Karidja Touré) is a 16-year-old African-French teenager living in a poor Paris suburb. She struggles academically. Due to her mother's long working hours, her abusive brother is effectively in charge of the household.
After meeting a group of three free-spirited girls, Marieme starts a new life. She changes her name, her dress code and quits school to be accepted in the gang.
This film is offered in French with English subtitles and is free for Alliance Française members with a card - Pre-booking obligatory via this link.
