About the movie 🎬
Gerard Depardieu plays Jean Cadoret - "Jean de Florette" - a city man with romantic ideas of the countryside. When he inherits his mother's old farm, Jean moves to the country with his family, planning to establish a new idyllic life on the land.
However, his scheming neighbours, Le Papet and Ugolin conspire to block the farm's little-known water source, and the resulting feud escalates towards tragedy.
