Défi Inter-Alliances

The Défi Inter-Alliances is back! Open to all Alliance Française learners around the world, through this competition students can test their knowledge of French language and of French-speaking cultures, on topics such as art, gastronomy, history, music and sport, and be in with a chance to win an exciting prize!
This year, over 40 countries are participating! Will you be Manchester’s champion?
The competition is in three stages, all of which will take place online:

The AF Manchester heat on Friday 21 October at 5.30pm, with a 25-question quiz.

The two winners will represent Manchester in the 25-question national final on Friday 4 November
-
The two national winners will then represent the UK in the 30-question international final on Saturday 26 November

How to participate?
Register below before Tuesday 18 October. We will contact you by email to send you the Zoom link and all necessary information.
Conditions of participation
- The Défi Inter-Alliances is free of charge and open to all AF students over the age 16 with an intermediate (B1) level minimum.
- All the stages will take place in French.
- You must be available for all 3 stages of the competition.

You will need a computer connected to the internet (Zoom) and the Kahoot application installed on your smartphone (to answer questions in
real time).
The prizes
- For the Manchester heats: the two winners will be awarded a £25 discount on their next course at the AFM and will represent Manchester in the UK National Final!
- UK National Final: prizes TBC.
- Grand prize: the three winners of the international final will win a 15-day language stay in one of the Alliances Françaises de France (including accommodation and transport)!
